THE ICYF PROFILE

The International Christian Youth Fellowship (I.C.Y.F) is an interdenominational fellowship holding to the great doctrines of salvation.
The I.C.Y.F family comprises people from a variety of backgrounds. From the very onset, the focus of our services and ministry has been unashamedly God's Word above all else. Public worship is conducted simply with a clear focus on preparing God's people to hear God's Word. We seek to implement ministries that present the gospel clearly to all age-groups especially, the young adults.
A short history
The fellowship was established on 18th December, 2017 under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through Brother Richard Nana Yaw Addae (ICYF Founder and President) with the help of a few people who bought into the vision of soul winning through evangelism. The first meeting was held on a WhatsApp platform where other members where introduced to the great commission

We believe:
The Scriptures of the Old and the New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God.
In the worship of the triune God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
That man is a sinner and Christ died for those whom the Father would give to Him
That those whom God calls will come to Him and will be saved.
That salvation is all of God’s free grace in Christ Jesus.
That missions and evangelism is the responsibility of the Church, the end of which is the Glory of God.
Mission
We are a non-profit outreach organization. Our focus is to actively spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the work of evangelism in our communities, locally & globally.
We are dedicated to enrich the lives of youth, young adults, and society as a whole by introducing them to Jesus Christ in relationship to spiritual maturity in the Word of God and service to the people.
"Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."  (Proverbs 29:18)
Vision
"And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry" (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
It is our vision to become the vessel through which the world will be saved.
Our mission is to actively spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the work of evangelism. ICYF currently does this through some evangelistic tools, such as: Door to Door Evangelism, Street Evangelism, etc...Not just a ministry - We service our communities through various avenues.
Objectives
To glorify Christ, the Head of the Church;
To proclaim the Word of God as recorded in the Old and New Testaments;
To encourage and support the proclamation of the said Word of God to the ends of the earth in accordance with Matthew 28:19; and
To provide instruction in the Word of God and fellowship for believers, thus building them up in the faith.
ICYF adopted a theme around Ecclesiastes 12:1 “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them"
To emphasize the desire to foster an environment where members minister to one another and into the community, not only for growing the body in numbers, but also for the maturing of the saints.
Core Values
Ensure Scripture based instruction.
Encourage fellowship and growth, especially in directing members to become part of a home fellowship group.
Encourage initiative in ministry by challenging one another to be active in service to humanity.
Our position on core values related to other areas, for example, Evangelism, service to God and man and confession of faith
Corporate worship
We believe that corporate worship should be:
God‐centered, celebrating the distinctive roles and work of the Trinity;
Bible‐based, concentrating on teaching the truth of God’s Word through prayer, public reading, singing and preaching;
Gospel‐declaring, communicating the good news of Jesus Christ; and
Fellowship‐building, cultivating the common good of the Fellowship.
We value corporate worship that is congregational, excellent, appropriate and relevant, authentic and genuine, trans‐generational and based upon the truth of God’s word. Scripture alone takes precedence over opinion, tradition and preference. We believe that corporate worship should unite the fellowship, not divide it. Therefore we believe that the predominant attitude of worship must be one that is preferential toward one another in love.
Our Governance Structure
The sole authority for the faith and practice of ICYF is the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. Subject to the Word of God, principles of governance are stipulated in the Constitution of the ICYF. The officers of ICYF are the President, Vice President, General Secretary, Organizing Secretary, Deputy Organizing Secretary, Prayer Coordinator, Deputy Prayer Coordinator, Evangelism Minister, Deputy Evangelism Minister, Financial secretary, Treasurer, Outreach Coordinator and The Deputy Outreach Coordinator. The leadership of the Fellowship and the ministry of the Word of God is committed to the Patrons (Elders), who all have pastoral oversight. According to their gifts, it is the duty of the Elders regularly to preach, teach, administer the ordinances, exercise discipline, lead the flock according to the Scriptures, and to ensure that pure doctrine according to the Scriptures and as set out in the Declaration of Faith is taught. No Elder has greater status or authority than the others, but at least one receives material assistance to enable full‐time devotion to the ministry. Spiritual matters are directed by the Elders. The Elders, in seeking unity and the leading of the Holy Spirit, take their decisions by consensus. An appointed secretary assists with office administration tasks.
Members consist of baptized believers who agree to and adopt the constitution.
